Spiral Vibration Damper reduces Aeolian Vibration (the high frequency, low amplitude vibration caused by horizontal wind passing across the line. It it designed to be used on OPGW and conductors with an outside diameter less than 0.75″.
Description
Spiral Vibration Dampers are also affective on certain size overhead shield wires and OPGW. For damper applications on ADSS cable, refer to the FIBER-LIGN Fiber Optic Products section under motion control. Consilt your PREFORMED sales representative for placement and installation guidelines.
